Gourmet Butanol was initiated in 2010 on Mount Desert Island, Maine. Our mission is to redirect the waste stream to produce butanol and other high-value chemicals from food waste and other organic residues. We can close the loop on a business’s supply chain, and we can can help both small and large municipalities convert their waste stream to marketable products.
Gourmet Butanol recently constructed a small butanol facility at the Colorado Mountain College in Rifle, Colorado. The facility in western Colorado uses grass grown on marginal land as a feedstock.
We offer a variety of consulting services and specialize in low-cost processing systems.
